I got myself into a search for some good, hard candies for hunting. Hiking up into the mountain range with a lip full of chew has always had its drawbacks. A dry mouth and chewing tobacco ain’t no worky for Beav anymore. I’m not a chewing gum fan. I was thinking hard candy would work - just until I reach the hunting grounds. Then grab a pinch of chew. I’ve been looking for candies other than the old Lifesavers or Jolly Ranchers. I found these, which are pretty good. Just checking to see what else is out there, in other locales, that we don’t have available here. Slum, no butterscotch or horehound flavors - Thanks! 🦫

RUMs are like woman in Stiletto heals, you know they are going to put you in the poor house, but that has never stopped anyone from pursuing them.

I was always a fan of good lemon drops. Jolly Rancher used to have a good lemon candy too. I have never cared for the real sweet stuff but like the sour candies.

Not candy per se, but Ricola original cough drops are soothing and long-lasting.
I fondly remember faking a cough in grade school to get permission to have a couple Luden's Wild Cherry cough drops. Boy, those were good!

This ain’t looking so good. Claeys candies are tasty, though.
I figured there would be some backwoods, regionally made, hard candy that rednecks with gum disease have been sucking on for ages to try.
Guess the big commercial candy companies have filled this market space and there’s no room for a small batch, hard candy maker to thrive in anymore.
Damn!

Few months back, a lady i work with who’s daughter is in .mil.
She’s been stationed in Poland.
Sent home some real Polish candy.
One style was a great big bar that you hand break / crush up to eat.
Illl say “ it was different” 😂😂.
They must use a different sugar than Americans use.

I like those werthers. You can suck on them obnoxiously as you berate minimum wage cashiers while you buy suspenders and Flomax.
