Yes - the 375 H&H will be the tropical model, as will the 458 (No. 1H with 24" barrel). The 458 will have a heavier contour barrel than the 375. The 300 H&H will be a No. 1S with 26" barrel, lighter in contour than the 1H models.

I have a #1 in 375 H&H and love the rifle. I used a reduced load and it makes for a dandy deer rifle.

Out of four #1s I had years ago, the #1H .375 held a zero far better than any of the others.

I have a 300 win mag that I think Im going to sell. It is a B model and the 300 H&H is a S model it feels lighter than the B, so I will decide which to keep. I am set for the win mag brass and dies. I will have to look and see if I still have both the 300 H&H and 375 dies. I told myself I was not going to buy anything I do not have components for. Haha I lied to myself but I will forgive me for it.

I ended up with the 375 and told him I will take the 300H&H Going pick that up tomorrow. Good snag(s). My 1H 375 H&H is one of my most accurate rifles. It shoots consistently like the 100 yd target below.

Nice stock. I need to take a few better pics. I do need to clean the barrel and the screw that holds the lever is sitting proud on one side. Other than that the gun shows like new. At least to my eyes. He is asking $1350 for the 458 and 300 H&H is that out of line? The 300 appears unfired

The older No. 1's tend to have nicer wood than the current ones, which in my opinion makes them more desirable. I paid around $1k for the several I own and they all have decent figure in the wood. Most I see these days are priced in the +/- $1500 range. If I found one in a chambering I really wanted and it had decent wood, I'd pay the prices you're seeing. I'd pass on any No. 1 without at least some figure in the wood.
