What was the context of Cruz's comments about the January 6 crowd? What did he know at the time and what did he think he knew? Who told him? Whose accounts had he heard? Does it matter. A “True” scholar of the Constitution would never stand up on the floor of the US Senate and declare his constituents TERRORISTS for exercising their CONSTITUTION Rights without having all the facts, which he did by the way, instead he jumps on the Cheney-Pelosi train to Stop Trump.

not from Texas. but Cruz does seem like one of the better senators there is. no he's not perfect but far better than most.
on the January 6th issue I think it was a good idea with wrong execution. no real winners there either way..

Cruz took it upon himself to stand on the Senate Floor and have his declaration that the Jan6 protesters were TERRORIST read into the official record. A so called Brilliant legal mind and a Constitutional scholar would never even think of making such a statement without having ALL the facts, unless he had an agenda. Dovetails with his refusal to endorse Trump at the convention. If did make that statement without the facts, then he is just another incompetent political hack pandering to the NEVER-Trumper Establishment
