Stith made a number of scope specific mounts specifically for the Remington M721. If I am not mistaken (and I may be going off memory) but Model 70 and 721 take the same receiver sight. The 721 also has a dovetail for the rear sight...........so I could see that.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

(Quick-Easy-Detachable) "Install-It-Yourself" Streamline Mount for the Winchester Model 54/70 and the Remington 721/722 rifles. The only difference was the 721/722 came with a taller sight dovetail mount for the front tube.

Some nice bucks with classy rifles! Love that low comb Fwt with the receiver sight. Been looking for a low comb for years with no luck. The few I’ve seen online have all been 308’s.
