It’s plum fhuqking handy,to whistle the best bullet in a given chambering and simply thread placement as per whim. Hint.

I’ve not killed Venison with anyth smaller than .17cal,nor greater than .72. Hint.

Every projectile has a BC, if only to the chagrin of Melting Snowflakes everywhere. Hint………

Stick;
Top of the morning to you, I hope you and yours are all warm, well and dry this morning, especially if you're getting that white precipitation like we seem to be.

Your statement reminded me of a very good friend and mentor of all things firearm related who has been gone for years now.

He was an avowed disciple of St. O'Connor, absolutely doted on pre-64 model 70's as long as they were in St. Jack's favorite cartridge and also preferred Sierra bullets for all his hunting.

Over coffee one day he was attempting to convert me into the fold as it were and I wasn't buying what he was selling. Finally in frustration I said more or less, "Look Willy, you shoot everything in the turnip anyways, so of course those Sierras work for you"..

He replied something like, "Well yah, exactly!". laugh

Anyways sir, thanks for stirring up the memories of a grand friend this morning that otherwise would not have been.

All the best to you all up north.

Dwayne

Considering that everything gets poached over a bait pile at 40 yards, that's some real hard charger chit right there.
A real life virtual hunter. LMAO.

Probably uses casting rods to snag fish in trickle creek too

If you’re hunting/killing range is no more than 150 yards on anything from a coyote to a deer. And I have these bullets available to use. Give me your opinion on which one you’d hunt.

Also, of the 3 bullets, which bullet you’d prefer, if shooting a deer sized animal up to 500ish yards.

Thanks.

Hornady 129 gr SST

Hornady 143 gr Eld-x

Barnes 130 gr. TSX

GWB

I like these choices. Also, the 127 grain LRX or 130 tsx if you want monometal, but they are probably not necessary for your needs unless you want to minimize meat damage on deer.

The exchange of 4grs of mass,to take BC from .625 to .697,in the leap from 143 to 147,is a screaming fhuqking deal. Hint………..

Let me see how far this deer will run if I shoot him in the head with a 143 eldx vs 147 eldm...I bet that deer won't know the difference....especially if I shoot him in the eye, heck he'll never see it coming.

I’ve multiple 1000’s of 143’s setting sad and lonely. Backwards is a tough direction to travel. Hint………..

I’d offer to take those off your hands, but I’m heading North for the 147’s now.

I tend to amass and fend rainy days. If I didn’t hate them,I’d go Large Frame Krunchenticker as a 143 Dispenser. Hint……………(grin)

Of the choices given I’d go 143 ELDX. I did compare the 143 ELDX V 147 ELDM when I toted a 6.5 Creed and the ELDM does just as well killing as the ELDX variety as far as I could tell. Just as easy to find on the shelf, why not take advantage of the 147M.
