I can remember Snickers being .50cents in 7th grade.

Coach Willard would sell them after PE, in the locker room. Sit nudie-butt on the bench eatin a candy bar 1/2 period before the usual Peetsuh and Frys lunch. Mmmm. Oh yeah and a chocolate mrlk that smelled like cat pee on the outside of the carton.

Memories!!!

I also remember a "Lunch Bar" - thin candy bar in a green wrapper that went for 3 cents (as printed on the wrapper).

What was he supposed to say? He still thought you were a dick and probably said so to the others around. And good for you, too. 🫤

I remember 5 cent candy bars.

Candy bars, cokes, gum were all a nickle. 22 shorts were 35 cents a box. Go find 20 coke bottles and the store owner would lets me have a box of 22 shorts and a coke..... no tax or at least he didn't charge me any.

"Uh, hmmm sorry man I ain't got the change to cover it?"

And if that wasn't true, the bitch should do his job.
Take the man's hundy and give him the change.

I've done the same.
Haven't had an ATM card this century, and won't unless I have to work for some
cheap pos who won't give me a real check.

Of course everything costs more to get less. How else do other people get stuff for free?

I did a little deer scouting in a different area today. On the way home I stopped for a burger at a place I use to stop at years ago. A small burger (looked like what they call sliders today) and a small order of fries (decent size) and a medium Pepsi. $11.74. Holy crap I could have stopped at a cafe and got a better meal cheaper. And it wasn't near as good as I remember them being.

I pay with $100s all the time and it is very rare that it's an issue.

But I also live in a mostly Jewish community.

LOL

Progressives are the most open minded, tolerant, and inclusive people on the planet, as long as you agree with everything they say, and do exactly as you're told.
