Sako Super Hammerhead ammo for $24 a box, saw .30-06, 308 Win - 150 and 180 grain, and 270 at the location I was in.
There is significantly less 180 gr. 308 left in Winona, MN now.

Considering you can just about kill a deer with the end of a qtip loaded to 2900fps I don’t see a need for all the hand wringing. In today’s world $24 a box sounds like a bargain if you need some ammo.

Those looking for reviews on deer - sample of one middling size buck dad shot this year (160 lb or so dressed), remains very dead over a week later. In and out, quarterish size exit. Dropped at shot. Impact probably in the neighborhood of 75 yards.
Personally I've only had the fortune to put them through several coyotes, they also live with Jeebus now.
Having already run about 50 rounds of previously purchased examples through 3 rifles (Mauser M12, BLR, and ShortTrac) it shoots just as well as anything else thats run through each.
Like Kid said, for $1.20 a round in 2023-24 you're not going wrong.
