My very best 8 pointer #19002081 12/10/23 Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 10,832 South East Missouri tedthorn OP Campfire Outfitter OP tedthorn Campfire Outfitter Joined: Apr 2010 Posts: 10,832 South East Missouri At a ripe fresh 54 years old this is my first 140" buck. I've come close to the 140 mark a few times but this heavy and wide brute finally pushed me over. Northern Missouri close to Queen City Remington 700 Faux Ti chambered in 30-06 150 grn Nosler Balistic Tip over 57 grns IMR4350 Maker of the Frankenstud Sling Keeper

All in all. A 140 8 is big. A 150 is huge. A 160 8 is one in ten thousand. Tine length trumps all. A deer like that will have 23 or 24 mains. At least 20 inches inside and 35 inches of mass helps too. Slap 8 or 10 inch brows on him and 12 inch 2s, then you've made it. It's hard. Congrats again on an awesome deer.
