That first paragraph said it all. Nothing good happens after 11 p.m.
That right there is BS, and why cops like you are a problem. There's a lot going on after 11pm that is legal and routine unless you're in a one-horse town. Lotta businesses work around the clock, and employees coming and going at all times.
Your type used to pull me over regularly with BS excuses (one actually confessed she had no reason but was stopping everyone to see if they were drunk) as I was driving to or from work at night. I think I met every low seniority cop on the force at least once, and never got a ticket or even a warning but caused me to be late to work. No skin off my nose, 'cause everyone at work knew the score as it happened to everyone all the time.
What impresses me more (in a negative way) is the thought of all the time wasted stopping drivers doing nothing. Meanwhile, our property crime rate has gone through the roof, red lights are ignored, and response time a block away from the cop shop is 30 minutes or more. But it's easier to fabricate BS reasons to detain people so as to appear to be doing your job.
