Rumble CEO Confirms
‘Unprecedented’ Attack on Servers: ‘Politically Motivated’Rumble CEO Chris Pavlovski confirmed on Monday that the free speech platform had suffered an “unprecedented” attack, which he suspects is “politically motivated.”
Pavlovski suggested the attack was carried out by those looking to censor Rumble’s content creators, adding that it could be related to the platform hosting uncensored videos, such as the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
In a post on X Monday afternoon, lawyer and commentator Viva Frei said:
“I was planning to go live, but Rumble and Locals are down.”
“Apparently it is a massive, unprecedented attack.”
“One that is likely politically motivated. If I have any updates, I will let everyone know. Godspeed Rumble!”
Pavlovski later confirmed Frei’s suspicions,
noting the attack against the platform had been going on “since this weekend.”“I also suspect it is political,” he added.
Pavlovski said the attack might be “Coming from activists and/or organizations who want to censor our creators, and related to J6 videos being posted on Rumble.”
