Hello all!
I have been out of the muzzleloader business for a good while but just bought a Remington 700 muzzleloader. It is set up for 209 shotgun primers. Is there a tool which will make it easier to get the primers installed correctly? Preferably one which is tried and true and you have experience with?
Thanks for your help in advance, and Merry Christmas!
Rick

is this the early model? There is a bolt nose kit for the early Remingtons that holds the 209 primer and seats the primer as the bolt closes. I know a guy who bought all the early Remington muzzleloaders he could find, especially the #11 cap models, and converted them into smokeless by replacing the barrel with a .45 caliber barrel and adding the bolt nose kit.
