Installing an Optisan RVX 6-24x50mm scope on an HW 95 walnut rifle. Does anyone know if that scope is recoil safe for the spring piston recoil? TIA. RZ.

Unless it is airgun rated (yes a real thing) then it's a crapshoot. The Optisan scopes are supposed to be tough scopes but designed for the typical rifle recoil impulse. With a springer, they need to be tough in both directions of the recoil impulse and this can cause a lot of high quality scope to fail over time. Rather than chewing up a good scope, get something airgun rated - https://www.airgundepot.com/airgunscopes.html

Ummm does it say anywhere on their site that their scopes are "Air Gun Rated" . No it doesn't so I naturally thought you had already at least done that.
Good luck.

A call or email to the company would be the way to get the most accurate answer.
