#thenoreweknow-themorewegrow I have attended 2 Christmas Parties and one funeral in the last 24 hours. Everyone I saw was kind, thoughtful, respectful and tolerant. I have been to 2 grocery stores and a rental place ( chairs and tables for Christmas dinner) in the same 24 hours. People were in a hurry, but still courteous, and the employees at each place were doing a great job!

The main complaint we have with the USPO, is we have a mail slot in our garage door that has an attached basket on the inside. They will lay a package down in front of the door below the mail slot and we have backed over several packages with our car. I've told countless carriers to put packages between the doors so we won't run over them, but every time they change routes or a part timer fills in a shift, it starts over again. It's just common sense. Nearly every one of them is talking on their phone or looking at their phone as they deliver mail.

Not really good with confrontations.........
They dont seem hard to find some days.......
My life would be a whole lot better if i weren't convinced silence is acceptance.........
One of my many charms, too often, is reminding folks i wont be accepting whatever bullchit is being peddled at the time, when I'd be better off just ignoring it........like many others seem to be able to do.
I see others who can navigate those waters with repeated success, lots of times just by keeping their mouths shut.......i envy them.

Wife and i have carefully trained Honey HalfLab to stop, and preferably sit, when we are walking on road and a car comes, until the car is past. When we first got her as a rescue, she wanted to chase or approach them.
The other day wife and dog were out walking the 2 mile road loop whe the UPS driver came along. He stopped in the middle of the road to gave Honey a treat.
We might need to do some retraining.... dog and UPS guy both.
Does that count???

Well back when I was 23, I was up in Odessa Tx staying with a couple of buddies who are brothers at their apt. We had been up late partying one night and the following morning we were all crashed out and hung over when the rent-a-center guy came by knocking on the door because they hadn't paid on a TV they rented.
Nat woke up and told him to come back later but the guy just knocked louder so Nathan got up grab an axe handle by the door went out and beat his ass. Brett and I were what the f-ck Nathan you know the cops are going to be coming. We ended up throwing what chit we could grab in the old Pontiac and decided to haul ass back to Alice TX. We had to get brake fluid for the car because the master cylinder was leaking badly, when I pulled up to the store I ended up hitting the building because I couldn't stop fast enough lol. Oh well, I hopped out ran inside grabbed two cases of beer and a bottle of brake fluid went up to the counter, and noticed all the stuff on shelves on the wall I hit was knocked off. I paid for the stuff and we took off.
We made the trip home in 5 hours and managed not to get in any wrecks. Those were fun times, lol Nathan's a Doctor now.
