Yes; I know it’s CCP. Yes I know this is what’s wrong with our world. No, there isn’t a US made product anywhere near the price point.

Thing is a riot. If it’s not the most fun you can have for $20; it’s right up there. Amazing technology for the cost of a couple desert lattes (hat tip; the duck).

I think condoms are about $1 each from the vending machines. Some of the guys on here would argue that 20 balloon animals are more fun.

Hmmm. Drinking beer and chasing the chickens with it sounds fun.

Yes, I am sure some of their GRANDDAUGHTERS may be in the same line of work now. $20 doesn't buy chit anymore.

Today’s dollars sir. I think the only thing you’re getting there for $20 today is a hearty “fugg you sir!”

Please stay on track.

Exactly!

Which is what is so crazy. Figure actual production cost on this thing is around $5. It’s insane.

And no maintenance on them either. You can't wear those things out. I wish they made boots out of them.

Been an all out battle at my house with all the nerf guns the kids got for Christmas. Probably more than $20 but they are gathering for another assault on the upstairs. The double barrel is my weapon of choice.

And if you are service, the aftermarket stuff is free. More or less.

No BS. In 1971. 10 for quickie, 15 for half and half, 20 for around the world.

20 bucks then is equivalent to 151.00 now

Still a half century!

For six bucks I could buy 5 gallons of gas for one dollar, get us in show for a buck apiece, buy us a hamburger fries and a drink for another buck apiece, have a buck left to get popcorn in the show. Money went much farther then. Minimum wage was 2.10. I started my apprenticeship in 71, made 3.10. I cleared 98.46, bought groceries, gas, paid for an apartment with that 98.46. We ate a lot of hamburger helper, tuna, etc, but got by until I became a second year apprentice, got 15% raise when you jump to 2nd year.

I had to pick up a lot of bottles, mow a lot of yards to scratch up ten bucks back then. I stopped going after I started going with ex wife my senior year. I went my junior year about every two weeks. It took that long to get ten bucks.

My top three choices, in order:

1. Take my wife or one of my daughters to coffee and dessert (given the budget, we might have to split a dessert).
2. Go down to the Legion hall, beer for me, beer for whomever I sit next to, and a handful of pull tabs. Listen to the other guy talk.
3. Box of 9mm and some splatterburst targets.
