I just bought a Winchester model 100 in .243 and the stock and barrel are in very good condition. The trigger guard is unfortunately very worn and missing about half the finish.
From what I can tell it's aluminum. I tried some alumablack and it didn't do well. I was wondering if anyone had tried aluma hyde ii?
I thought about anodizing it but i wasn't sure if the aluminum trigger guard could be easily removed from the rest of the assembly. It has some punch looking pins at the top but couldn't find any info on taking it off.
