I know various 9.3x62 semi-autos have been available in Europe for awhile, but if this is to be believed, Lipsey's is bringing in a new Winchester SXR2 (BAR variant) so chambered. They list them in the typical .30 cals as well. I don't particularly want one, but will be curious to see if the 9.3s actually make it across the pond.
Boy that’d be a cool rifle. Novelty for sure, but a cool rifle. I have a 270 760 that was destined to become a 9.3. I lost my nerve, chopped it to 20” and love it all the same.
Now the 760’s and 7600’s are commanding premium money..
I keep trying to talk an old buddy out of the 760 280 carbine he has squirreled away.. I’ll wear him down eventually.
They are all over Gunbroker now. Never thought I'd see them sold on these shores.
What little I know about European hunting could fit on a one page pamphlet. And it's all second hand.
With that extensive background😉, and knowing a little about them buying guns, that outfit seems less appealing there than a similar one here.
A semi 9.3 seems (to me) to be a running boar gun.
This guy,
Would probably have nothing to do with a 3 shot gun. And he had a turnbolt. I'd bet he'd be buying a straight pull rifle long before he looked at a 3 round semi. If a semi was even legal for him. (Hell, they ain't legal for deer here)
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

I looked at a 30-06 version today. while it has some aesthetic...um.. homeliness. the damned thing pointed like a shotgun it had those weird European sightes that are ramped with a groove and the front sight bead sits ontop of the groove when aligned. it was relatively light and probably fast handling. but not my cup of tea

Seems very interesting especially in 9.3. I would be curious to see how accurate and reliable they are. Has anyone shot one or previous models. How are the triggers?
A friend has one. We zeroed the iron sights last week at 75 yds, using some Speer 270gr cartridges that I loaded up 20 years ago. We had no problem hitting the steel targets at 100 and 200, although the fiber optic bead totally covered the target at 200. Soft shooting, reliable, accurate.
We need to find a Picatinny rail for it, so we can mount a red dot.
I have some creampuff loads that are a 185gr Lapua over 20 grains of IMR SR4759. We'll see if it cycles.
