For the retards that keep bringing it up, I'm gonna just link to this going forward.

Pic of my family, one of many posted here before the whole fiasco. Look at the cabin next door, it's been in a lot of my pics:

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

And, the pic where, I was asked if that was my cabin, and I played coy:

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

Now, considering I took the pic of my son paddle boarding from my dock, and have posted about a billion pics of my dock and cabin, I found it odd that someone would ask if the place in the background of pics I posted was mine. FWIW, I never said my neighbors place was mine, but I went with it. I found it interesting to have someone I've never interacted with questioning me and trying for an obvious "gotcha" moment, especially when, as shown, I'd posted many pics of my place WITH THE CABIN BEING ASKED ABOUT, MY NEIGHBOR'S CABIN, IN THE PICTURES.

Like these:

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

[Linked Image from i.postimg.cc]

So, when 10glocks did his "gotcha" moment, and, after some creepy internet stalking, posted the loan amount of my neighbor's place, and it's exact location, I asked him if the place next door (my place) has a mortgage?

He still hasn't answered. Hint: there isn't one.

So, I'll sit there having a cigar using the ashtray Rene sent me, and 10glocks and whomever called my work just a few weeks prior to this interaction can go [bleep] themselves with a rusty cactus.

I would not let them get you down much.

But the thing about searching folks financials is just wrong.

Even for folks that just can't let a moment to bitch and gripe about anything go to waste.

Good looking family and cabin.

It seems there was a fiasco about Goalies cabin of some sort. I missed it . However, it seems like a nice place. Not sure it's a cabin anymore , but to each their own. I have a cabin. It's 24X24' and they are nice to get away to and from home. Mine has no electric except my 2000 watt Honda, no toilet except and out house , on 7 ac. with 300' Flambeau River frontage and I like it.

Nice place Goalie.

That lake and the surrounding area is gorgeous. Just drove by it this past fall when the leaves were turning.

The whole area doesn't suck, and thankfully there's not a lot of wolves yet, so the deer hunting is still good in the "backyard" 9 acres.

We do have zebra mussels now, so the water is clearing up, but you'll need water shoes to protect your feet soon.

I wish I was smart enough to come up with something that would target and kill those damn things without harming other aquatic life.

We're on the Otter Tail river, so it was inevitable after some upstream lakes got them. I'm going with half full and will transition to bass instead of walleye depending on conditions, and there's always northern that will hammer anything you put in front of them and taste good smoked.

Yeah, my BIL broke the 30" barrier with walleye, and the snakes get really big, as there's no muskie to crowd them out. Big lake (almost 5000 acres) with structure means we'll be OK even if we have to deal with changing water clarity due to the stupid zebra mussels.

Nice 👍 At least it's not all bad.

A few of the lakes I fished when I lived up there were chock full of snake northerns that seemed to stunt out at the 24-ish inch mark, but those were small water, nowhere near 5000ac.

Someone from here called the MPLS VA about my vaccination status and tried to get me fired. Weird doesn't begin to describe it. Apparently similar is going on with other members with alarming frequency if they piss off the "wrong" psycho crowd.

It’s very easy to find all that information if you go to your states recorder website. If your place has a mortgage and your bank recorded it, he could have found it.

Goalie, I'm surprised you smoke them... As for me, I am starting to fish for northern more and more on Green Bay and having some decent success. I want to pickle them more than anything though... I love northerns, fun to catch , taste as good as walleye and get real big. Still aint sure what all happened about Glock looking you up. Calvin is right, you can find almost anyone now and snoop into their business,,, but why .. As for Glock,, like the old timers always used to say " watch your own bobber."

Any time I need reassurance about my own mental/emotional state all I need to do is look through a few threads on the Campfire to convince me I've got nothing to worry about.

Nah, he usually keeps it looking like a freaking golf course, so I'm happy when he "let's it go" a little, as I'm not up there 24-7 to do yard work and keep the yard immaculate.

Ironically, if you look back at the thread, after he specified who my neighbor was by name and what his mortgage was, he never answered if MY place has a mortgage........
That is seriously fugged up.

The whole area doesn't suck, and thankfully there's not a lot of wolves yet, so the deer hunting is still good in the "backyard" 9 acres.

We do have zebra mussels now, so the water is clearing up, but you'll need water shoes to protect your feet soon.

That sucks.

You can still catch walleye...

Northern are delicious any way you prepare them. smile

Yes, sir. I do dump them back in the August dog days though. The seem to be a bit slimy then.

I'm sure the walleye fishing will still be fine, but if not, there are some big bass around just waiting to bite.

Someone from here called the MPLS VA about my vaccination status and tried to get me fired. Weird doesn't begin to describe it. Apparently similar is going on with other members with alarming frequency if they piss off the "wrong" psycho crowd.

Yeah, that's true. We had a member, Old Toot, who died from covid at his fish camp before being miraculously resurrected as Houston_2 that said very clearly he knew people high up at the VA and it wasn't hard to find out things about employees. Not exactly a veiled threat.

But he was a douche, and hopefully he's dying painfully from ass cancer right now.

I saw a pic of his neighbor's bridge, I'm pretty sure it was the Golden Gate.

The guy tore down the old "cabin" several years ago and built his retirement home from scratch. He did it right, inside and out. It's waaaaaay out of my budget, but, in the end, the best thing about my place is the 9 acres in the back that I can easily deer and turkey hunt on with the kids.

And he doesn't like the deer eating his expensive landscaping trees etc, so he asks us to hunt his back property and shoot does.

I remember him. I take it you're a veteran, thank you for your service!

We have family in Minnesota. Made many trips there to visit the grandsons when they were younger. I like the rural part of Minnesota but can't stand driving through the big city or it's politics. First time to go to Minnesota I was amazed at how clear the Mississippi river is close to it's source as I'm used to it in Missouri.
