A friend of mine in MT has a nice pistol he bought at a gun show. He bought if from a photographer of some reputation in the area, who used it to defend himself from a grizzly that attacked him while out near Hyalite Reservoir, if I remember it right. He got the marks to prove it was self defense, and was selling the pistol to help fund the fine he got from the government for killing the bear. Seems like it was around $9k. Killing the bear while its on top of you is enough, methinks. Having to contend with an idiotic government after the fact is insult to injury.
Just watched this today, truly horrifying Grizz attack that happened to Jeremy Evans an Albertan.
I have hunted for elk not far from where he was attacked, this is truly a story about human endurance, and it's frightening!
