I’m not much of a Ruger guy, so don’t pay attention to going prices for them much. Took this one in as part of a package trade, and will most likely be moving it along. I did some looking online, and found ones similar that sold for $550 on the low end, and $1200 on the high end. I didn’t see much difference in them for such a wide gap in price, so figured I would check here. This particular one is a tang safety, red pad, m77 in 7mm Remington Magnum. Looks like it was made in 1987. It’s in pretty good shape, small mark on the floor plate, rest of wood and metal is pretty good. It has ruger rings, and a gloss Leupold vari-x IIc 3-9x40 mounted in them. I’ll try and get some pics attached shortly, I know it’s pointless to try and provide a value without them.
Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.

Cabela's would have that on the shelf for 1100 and I would not be a buyer. While I love Rugers - tang or not, I just can't cough up 1100 for a tang safety one. I bought that SAME rifle you mention about the same year but in 30-06 for $364.68 with birthday and chores money as a kid. I get inflation and all but if I'm spending 1k on a rifle, it's a Montana.

200 for scope 650 for rifle. If selling the scope on Ebay, it is worth upwards of $350.00. If it's in very good condition. Judging by the pictures, I'd expect the scope to bring about $325-$350.00 there. The rifle looks like the stock has been refinished, but done nicely. Red pad looks good, and the bluing is very nice. Rifle is in overall very good condition. I don't know the condition of the bore, but that is one thing I'd be critical of as well. If the bore is pristine, I'd imagine the rifle could bring around $750.00. I definitely would not sell it as a package deal. He will get much more out of it, if he separates the scope from the rifle.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Thanks for the help fellas. And Teal, I agree. I have 6 kimbers currently, and more is never a bad thing(for me anyway). This ruger just came along as part of a deal including other stuff that I wanted.

This tiger just came along as part of a deal including other stuff that I wanted. The price I hit at 1100 was right at what I had just seen a tanger Ruger with a scope on the shelf at my local Cabela's - not the best reference for price I know and I never, ever buy guns there but window shop.
