Spent an interesting evening in NO once about 35 years ago. Spent a week in Baton Rouge for work about 6 years ago. Baton Rouge reminded me of some 3rd world schitholes I’ve spent time in.

The drive on 90 headed west from NOLA is pretty cool!
I love the cypress trees and moss hanging from them.
It reminded me of a spooky Scooby Doo episode! So cool.

Was that one with the haunted abandoned amusement park? With Mr Jenkins posing the Cackling Skeleton?

I lived in Shreveport for a few years back in 1984/5. I called on 18 military bases from Shreveport up to Blytheville, AR down to Pensacola and back to NOLA.

I went to college with a guy who grew up in Shreveport so I walked into a very nice social group. I found it a great place to live and actually started my deer hunting then. Those people where very nice to me and I appreciated it.

It is one of the places I have lived that I would have moved back to if the right circumstance came about.

Tomorrow morning is Zydeco music blended into real country on Gumbo 94.9 out of Houma.

You can pause most ad blockers on individual websites.

OR

You can copy and paste the music stream link (URL) into something like Windows Media Player and play it that way.

Just a suggestion if you want to hear some of the music.

Cheers! Bob F.

I went to school with John Kennedy, he graduated a year before me.

I knew him as a very intelligent kid…..he didn’t know me from Adam! 😁 memtb

Only state with “parishes” over counties.

I think we are the only state that has Napoleonic Law.

And for the love of all things cajun………..IT’s CRAWFISH, not crawdads or crawdaddys or crayfish.
