Need help...If I dont use a sizer , can I just place the check on the bullet base as I load the bullet in the case ? will that seat it ok ?.I have the "Lee" sizer but I want to try a couple rounds as cast with a check, just tumble lube. I'm using the hornady 30 cal.

Bullets,

Hornady Checks are crimp on type, but there's no reason why you can't use a pair of plyers and lightly squeeze the edges on in place. Just be careful and make sure its secure enough not to fall down into the case if your using a bottle neck cartridge case. Also it's going to be a bit bigger because you haven't sized it, so you may need to use an unsized case to fire the bullet. Use your plyers to slightly flatten the case neck to hold the bullet from droping into the case. As you seat your cartridge the bullet will snug up to the lead if you've seated it longer than normal....Geo
