The USAF started going to schitt when they changed the top three enlisted rank stripes, changed the USAF emblem, and painted the Herks gray!  "If I wanted to look like Slim Pickens in a cavalry movie I would have joined the Army!" - Me Can you explain the bolded part, please? Not why things went to shıt but what the changes were.
