Selling a barrel Green Mountain made specifically for shooting stingers out of a 10/22. This barrel is discontinued. Had it on my 10/22 for a while. Put maybe 2 boxes through it. Ended up swapping to a ruger target barrel as the stingers shoot good enough out of my tikka.

Looking for $200 shipped

Never heard of such, What's the difference compared to a standard .22lr barrel ?

Blued fluted bull barrel not threaded. Barrel has two holes drilled in top for pic rail to be mounted to barrel. I also have the pic rail to go with it will be included in the sale. I have some pictures on my phone but the process of uploading them from the phone isn’t great. I’ll try to get onto a real computer and upload them. If interested pm me a phone number and I can send them over in time being.

The case portion of a stinger is slightly longer than a standard 22 to allow more powder space which also means the bullet is shorter/lighter. The chamber is supposedly optimized for stingers and the barrel is twisted at 1 in 18”

How's it shoot with standard velocity lead round nose target ammunition? Like maybe eley, or Aguilla target?

If I have any stingers around it's purely by accident.

I could be interested in a 10/22 bull barrel optimized for lead target ammunition at standard velocity speeds.

If you’re looking for a bull barrel to shoot we’re standard velocity ammo I’d just get a regular bull barrel or target barrel. The slower twist on this barrel is optimized for shorter lighter bullets.

I didn’t try standard velocity stuff because I have other rifles to shoot the regular stuff in.

Bump. The two holes in the Volquartsen rail on the last picture align perfectly with the two holes in the barrel. The barrel picture is just zoomed in and the rail is zoomed out. the back half of the rail extends over the receiver and then there is a set screw to take up the gap. The idea is that the rail stays aligned with the barrel in case of any shift.

The barrel does what it is intended to do. It shoots stingers more accurately than normal. I don't have any specific measurements. When I bought this I was living in rent on a property that had 35 acres of woods behind it. This was my varmint control solution. I had a 10/22 carbine that I upgraded with this and a Titan stock.

I don't live there anymore and can't really shoot varmints out back with a 22 anymore. I swapped it out with a Ruger target barrel not because I didn't like this one, but if the gun primarily gets used for punching paper at the range I'd rather be using cheaper ammo than stingers.

Really surprised someone hasn't bought this yet. As I said before they are now discontinued.

What is the barrel length? Rough measurement of diameter at the crown?

It’s a 20” fluted bull barrel. .920 diameter from end to end.
