What can i say about my brother Dave?
We fought and cussed at each other, sure what brothers don’t fight sometimes?
We were always right after all!
But we always loved eachother .
Dave was a mentor to me sometimes, and he was always a great friend.
We Played football and baseball in the yard. He always won because he was bigger than me.
We hunted together, we fished together, we worked on our vehicles together, even a couple race cars!
Dave was a loose cannon, but he was always a blast to be around!
We spent a lot of time with The Old Man, hunting, fishing, butchering deer, and sometimes just kicking back and BSing.
I treasure these memories, and I know Dave did too.
It’s pretty rough, saying goodbye to Dave.
Just as it was rough for the three of us to say goodbye to The Old Man.
Right now, I guess I’m mourning my own loss.
The mourning will fade, but the memories we shared will never fade.
I know in time I’ll think of Dave and smile or laugh, just as I do with Mom & Dad, and I know I’ll Be thanking God for having him in my life just the same.
I’ve always considered myself one lucky son of a gun!
