Searching for a scope for my Seekins element in 6.5cm. Looking for a good simple low light hunting scope. Most shots under 250 yards and some as close as 25 yards. I would prefer to keep the objective 44 or smaller. Would like to keep in that 1k or less range but may be willing to up that a touch if needed. I have a Zeiss v4 which I like on another riffle but wanting to try something different. Thanks for the help!

I started with an Athlon Helos BTR Gen 2 2-12x42 on my Seekins Element (7 PRC), but now have a Arken EPL4 4-16X44 on it. Those are both more scope than needed for 250 yards, but the Athlon reticle and illumination would work well in low light and up close.

For the uses you describe, I might be looking at either a fixed 4x or 6x power, or illuminated LPVO (1-4x, 1-6x) of some flavor.

The Accupoint is certainly on the list. I just put a Huron on a riffle for my son and it’s very impressive.

You’ve come this far with a truly badazz rifle…now finish it off with the best.

NXS 2.5-10x42 is any easy choice to finish that off.

The nxs looks very nice and I’ve always wanted to try one but not sure I want to spend that much.

This is certainly the best scope in this class, by a wide margin. If you are willing to spend the money and can handle a few more ounces.

I'll greedily take a BTR Gen2 Mil/Mil 2-12x FFP LitBitch there. Hint.

It's feature set,is simply fhuqking awesome and for Utility Killing I WANT FFP for Movers, weather and the like. You are going to be looking through the fhuqking thing anyways,so might as well get something outta it and SFP can't even begin to hang. Hint.................

Certainly contemplating the NXS. The Athalon looks like a good value but I have no real experience with FFP.

I understand the preference for FFP, and I certainly prefer it too with higher magnification, but at this range I don’t mind SFP personally.

JammyPoop can't keep her lies or desires straight,as she "lives" vicariously...the "lucky" kchunt. Hint. Congratulations?!?

Objectively speaking, there's no "range" where FFP is a "disadvantage". Reticle design and illumination certainly matter and the 2-12x LitBitch contends same, like few others. Hint.

Sadly,Zeiss has yet to make a scope worth a fhuqk. Hint..............

Now we're at the point where a freaking Helos 2-12 is "better" than an NXS 2.5-10?

Let's "pretend" the Helos got demoted. If you have trouble "imagining" that, this'll help

Just looked, it's 6 ounces. Helos G2 2-12 is 25.4oz and the Ares ETR UHD 3-18 is 31.4oz. You could lose that off one of your chins by skipping one meal. And yeah, that 6oz is worth if for WAAAAAAY better glass and added magnification to use on a .22lr. It's not a "walking around shooting squirrels" rifle. The glass on my Helos' suck compared to the Ares ETR.

You’re right on both accounts there Bobby. I kicked tires on this one for quite awhile worried about the reticle but I really like this one. It looked kinda busy for my taste in the pics but my eye is drawn to the crosshair and nothing else. Illumination seems spot on. The optics are great just crystal clear glass with a true natural view. My first impression seems to go along with most others, This is a TON of scope for the money.
