I bid on a BRN 180 upper on GB and got a message the seller's warehouse was out of them I went another route. I bought a complete lower blem from PSA for $150 and bought a complete Bear Creek Arsenal side charging upper with a 16" barrel for $261 on sale at Midway USA. I mounted the Sightmark Wraith I bought off the classifieds last year. I bought BUIS sights off the classifieds. I got the sights and scope sighted in last week. I'm very happy with the purchases. Dave

The sights weren't mounted when I took this pic.

My piston gun project magically turned into a SS Howa Mini 6.5 Grendel when those appeared on the Brownells site.

Also, on Wednesday I took my long-suffering Mini-14 to the range after replacing the scope with the PA prism I’d originally mounted on it. The results were entirely satisfactory and handling much improved, so I think I’ll stick with it for a while longer.

My Bear Creek is a .22 Mag, and it’s a peach.

Considering most users have 0 to gain from flash hiders, I’ve always thought 18 was the most sensible number, followed by 20 with nothing added on.
