I have a Marlin 1894 .357 that needs some minor work. The magazine is stiff and won't easily accept more than 5-6 cartridges. Supposed to accept 11, I think.

It aslo has a couple of screws that tend to work loose over time.

Who does this stuff well, and in a business like, prompt manor?

Al Siegrist knows leverguns well. He does excellent work cheaply but not quickly.

Sounds like blue locktight , and maybe someone put the wrong spring or plugged it for some reason. Neither is rocket science . Do you really want to spend $100/hr for that ?

Do a search for Paco Kelly's articles on the lever gun. I did minor tweaking on my 1894SS. Opened up the channel on the forearm. Used 600 grit automotive sand paper on the edges of the bolt. Loosened the barrel band and then used loc-tite on the screws. Spent two days scrubbing the bore and polishing. It now shoots like a bolt action, or better.

I prefer classic.

Blue loctite will fix loose screws, as fo magazine, see if someone put a plug in there, or just stiiff. Keep it loaded, add a shell every couple of days, it will work in to full capacity. Neither are gunsmith worthy problems.
