Anyone have an old trigger like this that they want to get rid of cheap? It locks the bolt when the safety is on. Also it needs to be left hand.

I think I have one out in the shop. It came out of a late 70's rifle. If you don't mind me asking... Why would you want one of these triggers? I won't let a 700 out of my shop with a factory trigger.

I like the feature that the bolt is locked when the safety is on. Never had an issue with older Remington triggers. When properly worked IMO they are as good as aftermarket for hunting purposes. I bought a few of the stainless LH actions right before Remington closed and those triggers were replaced with TriggerTech or Jewells.

I looked for that trigger and can't find it. Didn't Remington lose lawsuits over that trigger?

Thanks for looking. I don't believe this one was the reason for the lawsuits. In all honesty I was away from Remington stuff for a number of years in that I didn't pay attention very much into what was going on. Some say that every trigger that Remington ever made was defective or has/had the potential to be defective so there's that. I do know that it wasn't involved in the recall.

Have zero trust for Rem 700 factory triggers after two Rem 700's went "bang" when the safety was released. Fortunately, rifles were pointed down range both times. Now, every Rem 700 I purchase gets a Timney trigger shortly after arrival.

I ended up getting 3 of the Remington 700 actions about the time they went south and replaced all 3 triggers with TriggerTech or Jewell. Never had an issue with the factory triggers tho.

Also I like the Jewells, but if something happens and it needs repair I don't know how or where to get it fixed. AFAIK the new owners went out of business. Will make a good backup.
