Never been a fan of the illuminator series. Mainly because it looks like a locomotive engine sitting on top of a rifle.

I do have a few friends who have them. I have worked up loads for them, and programed the scopes, and admittingly they work well. Me, I could never get past the looks. This new upgrade actually looks like a scope!

Again talking about looks only.

YUP which means a street price of 2.5 to 2.7. No thank you.
Again commenting on the way it actually looks like a scope now instead of an elongated suitcase. LOL

My main hunting buddy has one of the earlier series Eliminators on a rifle and you can't see early and late to the limits of legal shooting hours with his. He is disappointed with that aspect.
It does correctly adjust poi at the distances he is comfortable shooting.

At least it looks like a scope. I don't think I need the functionality it provides in that package, but it might not suck for some people. I'd be buying thermal with that money and sticking with my stand alone scopes and LRF though.
