Has been hard to get at times, and prices ain't what they once were.

Sorting through some totes yesterday evening I found a whole unopened pound of 4F and a half pound of 2F. Had forgotten I even had this stuff. 4F is priced at $17 and the 2F was $23. Been a minute since I stashed this stuff and forgot about it.

I saw that Powder Valley had 3F and 4F in stock last week. Sounds like you need to clean out your junk closet more often. grin

I too found an unopened can of FFFFg in my stash a couple years ago. Couldn't remember where/why I got it as I've always used the FFFg in my horn to prime the pan too. Since there was an obstinate little tree stump on the property that was demanding pick&shovel work to dislodge I instead used the FFFFg to blast it loose instead. Kinda/sorta worked but should've learned a little more about blasting stuff first. No injuries, lots of thunder and smoke, all in all a fun afternoon but in the end I worked up a sweat anyway with a pickaxe.

That's a long time use of FFFFg.
When I get low on it I try to trade with someone for a couple of ounces

Lol

Yeah, it's stuff I packed up almost a decade ago when I moved. Totes stacked in the garage and the contents forgotten about. Guess I can quit grinding my own priming powder for a little while now.

Sometimes I regret not having hired a videographer to follow me around these last 50 years or so. grin Either tremendous sums made at the box office and YouTube, or prima facie evidence leading to a stretch in stoney lonesome.
