I've got the suppressor bug after using one all season. Wanting to thread a couple of rifles that already have cerakote. Anyone have any issues with the cerakote after the threading?
i think the risk is when it is being threaded and the cerakote flaking on the cut line. I've been told it depends on the quality of the cerakote application and how good of a machinist does the threading, then there is still some risk.
I've only had two cut/threaded barrels that had been previously cerakoted. Though I assumed there might be a some wonkiness, both were perfection with no issues.
Like ShortMagFan eluded to, the application and mastery in machining likely play a role.
