I know it’s a long shot but thought I’d throw it out and see if anybody had any 6.5/06 head stamped brass. Quality Cartridge used to make it but best I can tell they haven’t in a while. I can size 25/06 but thought I’d check to see if I can find any head stamped.

Thanks Billy

Thanks, Billy

You want what you want...and I won't try to change your mind...but I've done a fair job of overwriting some of my wildcats...8/-06 as one example, .358 from 308, with a Dremel Tool. Not prizewinning art, but enough for safety at a glance.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

You can probably have it made but personally I don't think it'd be worth the extra money, for me at least. It's still a reloading proposition and a pretty good one at that.

.25/06, .270, .280 and 30:06 all have worked for me - for hundreds of rounds of 6.5/06 - and I had never thought of needing/wanting that head stamp until you asked. Would be novel.

I have a bunch, but haven’t decided if I’m selling the rifle. I’ll let you know if I do.

Get some 1/16" high number stamps and make your own. "Erase" the stamp on a 270 case with a Dremel tool and restamp it.
