Was digging around in one of my safes and found this scope today. It was never mounted on a rifle and would pass as new. My guess is I picked it up about 15-18 years ago. Might sell it as I am trying to decrease my rifle inventory.
Good or great glass? If I decide to sell it, what is it worth?

I have one on a little Anschutz .222 rifle. Excellent glass and mechanics, better than a comparably priced Leupold back when they were both new. Perfect match for my rifle and cartridge, I like it a lot! Good luck with your sale.

Most critical thing though, could u please physically measure eye relief at 8 power?

Anything less than 3.5" is a no go. Tooling up another nine-three carbine to sling full power 300 and 325 grainers.

Even a 1.5-5 vx3, slinging 300 grainers, would ever so slightly love-touch my eye brow in certain field positions.

I’ll check the eye relief tomorrow. But my gut tells me it won’t have as much as a 1.5x5.
What kind of big bruiser are you shooting now?
I have a 1.5x5 and a Nikon sitting on my bench as I type this. Both waiting to be shipped to buyers. I’ll compare all three.

Thanks, tooling up for a guide gun rebored from 30-06 to 9.3. Got a pile of 325 grain oryx bullets.

From my crude method of holding a scope in one hand and a tape measure in another, the 1.5x5 has more eye relief than the Zeiss does at 8x.

Use JB’s method.

Shine a light thru the objective. Take a piece of paper or card, move it back and forth from the ocular to determine where the sharpest focus is. Measure distance from card to ocular.

I have two of them and they've held up pretty well.

One is on my CZ550 LUX in 9.3x62 and the other is on my Ruger M77RS in 35 Whelen.

I haven't had my eyebrow kissed yet; close once with stout 250 grain Speer load out of the 35 Whelen from the prone position.

The only thing that I would change in these scopes is the reticle from the plex to a #4.

The one I have has an eye relief of 3.75" at 8x.

Just lay the scope on a table, proceed with two hands.

Not hard.

Thanks for your efforts, I'll pass on that zeiss. Hopefully one of these days, I can find a low power variable that gives 4" inches (or more) of eye relief at the highest magnification setting.

In my experience the older Burris Fullfield compacts have about as much eye relief as anything out there (sometimes almost to the extent troubling how much on normal mount spacing on some rifles). May not help but look at the 3x9 Mini/Compact.

I sold one here a couple years back for $400.00. Might be worth more now.Really a great scope.

I have two. Great little scopes imho. One sits atop an AIII Mannlicher in .30-06 the other atop a No. 1A in .280.

Is this a scope that you can set it and forget it? I'm looking for a scope or some kind of optic that I can put on an AR15 and then not have to worry about it staying sighted in. It may not stay on the carbine, if I really like it it could go on a compact hunting rifle.

Scope is already sold, just waiting for payment. After seeing what this scope is worth I can tell you the new owner got a heck of a deal, LOL.
