I know some parents who practice “free range parenting.” Anyone heard of this? Part of liberal parenting where essentially the majority of decision making is left to the kid; I can tell you all the kids subjected to this I know have real problems.

I don’t remember where I read it, might have been here, but researchers queried AI on solutions to today’s social problems and it came up with “far right conservative” solutions as they put it. So the study was shelved.

Being a real parent is a full time job that takes effort. If you do your job well, the product is remarkably different, from those parents that make no effort to get it done correctly. Been in the patrolling the streets business and the scholarship business for decades.
No money for a study was necessary at all, just ask a Cop.

IMO, just look at the number of "autistic" children today. I think they are just spoiled rotten and have never heard the word no.

Not really. Acetaminophen use during pregnancy can be a contributing factor.

I have seen good and bad kids come from both ends of the political spectrum. Intact homes, fathers, financial security, not being sexually abused, etc seem to be the leading indicator on what odds a kid will have stable mental health.
