Midway is inconsistent that way. Sometimes the shipping is very fast, other times it disappears for a week en route.

Midway is inconsistent that way. Sometimes the shipping is very fast, other times it disappears for a week en route. If the package disappeared en route that sounds like a shipping service issue, not a Midway issue. Once it leaves Midway and the shipper has possession of the package I don't see how Midway has control of that situation.

Sometimes it's on my doorstep the next day. Sometimes, three days later it's still heading in the opposite direction.

I have been buying from Midway for at least 15 years. Never had a problem getting what I ordered in a timely manner. I dont buy everything from them because often I find it cheaper elsewhere but they normally have what I am looking for.

Been doing business with Midway for more than 25 years with zero problems. Once your package leaves their location it's the shipping service who should be held accountable for slow delivery.

I always used them for bullets and cases. Bought a fair bit plus a bunch of scopes from them, never had reason to look elsewhere. I took a 5-6 year time out from shooting, now everything I try to order is out of stock. I know everything is scarce, but I have wondered if Midway is changing directions? Is it everyone? I relied on them so long, I really don’t have a backup place. I do buy things that aren’t mainstream, 300 h&h cases, 9.3x74 and .366 bullets etc. always liked things a little different.

I don’t use Midway often. Their every day prices are higher than most of the competition. Their sale prices can be good. Their shipping has been good in my experience. You’ll be disappointed if you need an RMA for an item that you gave someone as a gift.

I've had good service from Midway, no complaints all with that.
But like to save about 10% off there prices so generally shop elsewhere.

Midway is inconsistent that way. Sometimes the shipping is very fast, other times it disappears for a week en route. That sure wouldn't be midways fault. Midway considers something "shipped" as soon as it is pitched into a trailer parked on their site. Even if they exoect that trailer to sit there a few days. Also they use a combination of UPS ot FedEx and the USPS to save on shipping. That can have delays associated with the handoff from one to the other. Those are both well within Midway's control, as they chose the shipping method. It's their "Nitro Fast" shipping program. So it is up to them. The result is inconsistent shipping times IME. I usually don't mind, but one time my package went AWOL for a week (and it did show up). I called Midway and they explained the above.

I've spent thousands of dollars there over the past 9 years. I never had any problems until recently. Four months ago I took advantage of their free shipping and ordered some supplies for an upcoming Veteran's Day hunt. The items arrived a week after the hunt (not Midway's fault). Supposedly USPS had to shut down a hub due to a hazmat spill and my package went West to come East.
Yesterday I received an order with a couple hundred rounds of pistol ammo and 3 honing stones. One stone was missing, one was broken in half, but the third one was fine. Midway packers didn't do anything to protect the stones and the ammo was strewn about inside the box. (Their fault). I got a RMA but it was a long drawn-out process. I hope to not deal with that again anytime soon.
One thing I have learned with Midway, you can't choose a shipper when using free shipping. So I just add a box or 5 of ammo and the package arrives via UPS within a few days. USPS takes 7-10 days usually when I don't order any ammo.
Medics bury their mistakes..

I ordered a couple sets of dies and brass on Monday afternoon and it first got here this morning . Not only that, they had the balls to charge me $6.00 for shipping . I am just beside my self . That has happened to me several times when I have them ship to my place on the Front Range. Over here in the West Slope colonies it generally takes a couple extra days. And yes, it’s obvious Larry has a new business plan that includes pushing prices as high as he can get away with. Although with frequent sales and free shipping when offered can make items cheaper than other places.
