Ruger and Lipseys have just completed a limited run of the Ruger 416 guide rifles for the Alaska Professional Hunters Association. They are marked accordingly and many have been pre purchased by APHA members
All the remains rifles are available from Arctic Ammo in Wasilla and I posted details in the Classified section

It's at times like these I curse my crappy right eye & my left-handed shooting...

Count me in the second there's ever a special run of these (or any other good 416-500 caliber) in left hand.

I have a wrong handed friend who simply purchased a LH Ruger 375 and RH 416. Swapped the barrels and sold the now RH 375

Did the express sights find alignment easily? I've considered doing that but assumed the sights likely wouldn't be timed right.

Thanks, I just called Arctic Ammo and bought one. Price is considerably less than the MSRP on Lipseys, if anyone is curious.

Good -

Now I will have more allies in convincing Hornady to get off their butts and make cases for .375 & .416 Ruger - have not seen case in over two years!

They are too busy screwing around with trumpet fanfares for their new "Cartridge of the Day".

Very similar to the 338 Winchester brass and factory load circumstances. Though there has been 416 Ruger and Remington factory loads.

Apparently the first and second orders of the 416 Rugers have sold quite well. Especially considering in the big picture, there are not that many .375 and above buyers.
