Are you sure now? I was in suspense. Waiting to know exactly what it is, and also a range report. Get on with it OP!! Going to the range doesn't take much time at all.. Just sayin..

Speaking of this stock I.D schidt, there is one on ebay right now that you may need to look at.

Ok, I won't bid on it then... Thanks buddy.. There is a good chance he will get it at a very reasonable price, if he can snipe it. Just a warning.. Hopefully he sees this.

That's how I got my Brown PoundR for $400, and the very nice Pacific Research for the same price.

Nice, the four hardest things to say.

1. I am sorry
2. I love you
3. I am wrong
4. Worcestershire sauce 😂

I likely won't take it to the range until April. I have already changes scopes and mounts 3 times trying to find something I like before I start throwing Federal Premium 150's down range.

Just put an old gloss Leupold or Burris on it. What's wrong with the Zeiss that is on it? Leupld DD's generally always work, for mounts and rings. Or steel weaver style mounts, like Leupold PRW/QRW or modified Warne mounts, and Burris Zee rings.

Looks like a nice rifle. Formerly a std wt, probably about a 1961. When I got my 338wm in the Brown PoundR, the stainless barrel was left like yous, I had it cerakoted, then painted the stock and added a red pachmayr. I always thought it looked unfinished, left how it was, but a guy could use it just like it is pretty easily.

Yes, I think the stock may need to go to John Boy for a paint job and try to figure out who to send the action to and have it coated.

Very nice. That Johnboy does some nice work. For coating, maybe Eddie Fosnaugh? I have been very happy with the few cerakote jobs I've had done, but I had a local guy do mine.
