(I'm old) Years ago Air Travel was something to look forward to, Not dread !!! Now Airlines dick with you & me everyway they can think of !!! For some time my Daughter & Family lived in Portland,OR so we flew cross country several times a year, either thru Chicago (jeez) or the Atlanta (zoo). I've been in Seatac & Anchorage (interesting). My first Commercial flt was on a DC3 (aka C-47) so I,ve seen a lot of changes, not many for the better !! But it is safer, or we've been very lucky !!!!!! Our VERY BIG WEAKNESS NOW is AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL. Something awful is going to happen on a runway & our nearly frozen FEDERAL GOV. will ring their hands for month's over what to do. Of course the CLEAR answer is to reduce the number of flights until enough Air Traffic Controllers can be hired & trained up !!!!!

No shortage of ATC employees... just a severe lack of quality. Chalk that up to DEI...

There is a shortage from everything I hear, AND there's more DEI. With stuff like CDTI ATC keeps increasing our workload to ease theirs.
