OK. Think you can manage the revolver and 8 pair of scissors in the pic above at the same time?

Way too fancy for a redneck like me!
I carry a nice Kershaw 5” lock up. It’s always razor sharp too.
At work a buddy asked me to hand him a knife to cut a hose, and I pulled it out, handed it to him.
He used it, looked at it, and handed it back.
“I knew you would have a knife, and I knew it would be a good one and really sharp!”
I just smiled.

For the number of tools you get the extra 20 pounds in your pocket seems worth it. 😀

Had a brother in law that was wearing his Navy ring & jumped out of a big trick, leaving his ring finger on the door latch. With part of the insurance settlement, he bought what they call a Ky. cluster. A big diamond in the middle with 7 surrounding diamonds for his other hand. I flipped out & asked if he was wanting matching hands. I couldn't believe it.

Otherwise, few reasons for a man to wear rings.

Long time hunting partners of mine were partners in a custom cabinetry shop. Between the both of them I think they had about 9 fingers total.

Didn't stop them from shooting deer and cheating at cards.

I was wondering if this was a call out thread 🤔 No complaints I'm living my best life. Took loosing some fingers to do it. Looks like there's a revolver in the mix. So if you don't poke yourself in the junk carrying it around you can always blow it off

You got that right!

Working on my boat a couple months after return from 'Nam, hopped off and my high school class ring snagged a screw head. Learned what de-gloving is, to say the least, a very painful experience.

They upside? I expend less energy flipping people off and can count in fractions.

One of my best buds did the same thing when we were in high school, only he was jumping up trying to work the duct control on the ventilation louvre over his bedroom door. I wasn't there and did not see the injury before he was treated, but he kept the finger and the skin. He didn't play the drums for about a year, though.

I won’t wear a ring.

Girl I knew years back stepped up on a stool to grab something of the top shelf of her pantry. Her ring caught the rack as she stepped off the stool.

She can count to 9 and 1/16. Lol.

About 3 years after I was married I was tying something down on the top of the car one day and I slipped off the running board, my wedding ring caught on a screw and damn near ripped my finger off.

As soon as the swelling went down and I could get my ring off it went in a drawer and is still there to the day.

Naw, I can use 1/3’s or 1/2’s as best suits. And if I add 1/3’s it becomes 2/3’s, etc, etc.

So, if one is skilled in math they can subtract 1/2 from 2/3 and all the sudden they are fiddling with 1/6. The sky is the limit.

I had to go back and look. Sure looks similar to an NAA pocket revolver.

Another flintlocke trivia tale. On highway 101 north of Hoquiam Wash there was a nice old tavern, good food, cheap draft, level pool tables etc. Some locals decided to take me there on a rainy Sunday, I forget the name exactly, Red Rooster Tavern maybe...but my friends kept calling it Stubville. I said surely you mean Stumpville...no they assured me it was Stubville. Anyway we went, played, drank, ate...but it soon became apparent why they called it Stubville. There were a few red cedar shake and shingle mills close by, the main source of employment, and literally every local male had one or more digits missing.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.
