Our county ordinance reads that the sheriff and commonwealths attorney will fight any 2A restrictions by any and all legal means and that no county funds are allowed to be used to enforce any restrictions.
That would include local LEO.

I was at the one in highland, the puzzy’s on the board tried like hell to weasel out of passing it, it got heated! They finally figured out they weren’t getting out of the building with their hides if they didn’t and signed it. I asked one of the deputies that were standing in a big line down beside them if he’d have stopped it and he laughed and said ain’t no way we were going to stop this crowd.

I'm hopeful that you can pass some legislation to actually loosen the 2a restrictions already in place so you have the same freedoms as some of us 'dumfuk yankys'. If there's one thing the 'gun crowd' is good at, it's eating our own.

I'm thinking the real issue isn't in Virginia but north of Richmond. Ink on paper only works when both sides agree that it does. I'm no Vegas prognosticator but I'd put the number at 10 for them to understand that Sierra 168 works on ALL those problems no matter the letter or word D or R..

One day we’ll see how our county Sherriff’s up hold all the county 2nd Ammendment sanctuary ordinances. No local funds are to be used to enforce unconstitutional gun laws. There’s only a few state popo’s in most areas so good luck enforcing it anywhere besides the two blue scheit holes to the north and east. Every VA Sheriff is the supreme LEO in his county. His authority overrides the state. He can kick the troopers out if he so chooses. And, he can deputize as many county residents as he needs to deal with a situation. Yepp... The real question is how many of you know your Sheriff personally... and how many times a month do you and you and your wife go out to with him and his wife?

There was a ruling and precedent set that restrictions on the Second Ammendment must have an established history dating back to the time the Bill of Rights was adopted. Not sure I am explaining that right but I wonder if these firearms bans that are clearly unconstitutional are part of a plan to argue that firearms not in existence at that time are not protected.
