Any good? I just bought a couple of lowers. I don't have any experience with them but have heard good things? What say the AR folks?

No problems with any of mine (there are many).

They don't have as tight of lockup in mating with the upper/lower fit but none that are any worse than some and better than others I've used over the years.

They're generally fine.

Their lowers are fine.

Their barrels and small parts, not so much.

They delete bad reviews on their website, so you can not trust their reviews.

I yhink the oldet mfg Lowers had much to be desired, pin holes weren't uniform, tolerances sucked, my buddy did more filing and tinkering fitting lower parts into their receivers. I don't hear much bad about any of the major mfg Lowers nowadays. I've always had good luck with Aero and Spikes, though Spikes puts the Aero lowers to shame come assembly time.

They’ve put out more out of spec lowers than most.

I’ve got 3. 1 was machined partially after it was anodized. Not a huge deal but not correct.

2 will not drop a magazine, mag wells are too tight but they did finish the machine work before they anodized them.

So far all of the pin holes were drilled correctly but I don’t think I’ll add any more.

I only have 1 Anderson lower, bought early in covid when everything disappeared. It's okay, but I like Stag and Aero better. There was flashing left in the trigger opening, the grip screw hole was weird and tried to strip for some reason, and there was something weird about the bolt catch roll pin holes being slightly undersized. It seemed to be a difficult lower to put together. Maybe I just got a weird one. Once built, it was fine though.

The last one I built was a blem Palmetto stripped lower and a blem BCM stripped upper, and they fit together the tightest of any I've built. Like a frickin bank vault.

I have never had any problems with an anderson lower, but I will say this is absolutely correct. Its a little annoying, but if you don't have anything to compare it to you probably wont notice it

I have built a few lately. You need to do a little prep work. I have drill bits the correct size for all the drilled holes in the lower. Clean out all the holes "by hand" before assembly. This only takes a couple minutes, and saves lots of head aches. Upper and Lower lock up in my experience is a lot better than the uppers and lowers sold by others in years past. Most AR's that I put together over 15 years ago needed an Accu-Wedge to improve the sloppy fit. The last Five that I have put together Anderson Lower with Anderson, Aero, and Stoner uppers, all went together like a matched set. Quality Control seems to be a lot better now days.
