It will be fine on my Kimber Mountain Ascent 6.5 Creedmoor.

Whats the LOP on that rifle?

Or is lop not a factor?

It's packed in my truck for a trip to the range tomorrow. Standard factory Montana LOP.

You were correct, ER is a non-issue. I ordered one Saturday morning and it arrived today. My non-scientific method says it's better than my Burris FFII 3-9x in the ER department.

I mounted mine on the Kimber Mountain Ascent 6.5 Creedmoor and took it out last week. I am very pleased with both the rifle and the scope. It will go hog hunting in a couple of weeks.
Does it have an etched reticle?

I'd call them but Midway says etched.

It sure acts like a wire reticle. You can get the reticle to do that gold color shift with enough light behind you, I don't get that with the scopes I own that are etched.

I wouldn't want the Huron on a rifle with 30-06 level recoil. The eye relief makes it a bit crowded.

I would have no problem with the Huron on a 30-06 Mt rifle. I am debating another one for my fairly light 9.3x62. Though chambered in the puny 6.5 Creedmoor, my Kimber Mt Ascent weighs a hair under 6# with the Huron. Zero issues.

What have you measured your Huron Eye relief as? I questioned their numbers then read what Edm posted, so I ordered on to see for myself. I have another coming this week.

Eye relief is a NON issue with the Huron and it's better than the Burris FFII 3-9x.

The 3-9x40 Huron, as seen below, was 4.25 inches at 3x and 3.2" at 9x. Conversely, the Burris Fullfield II 3-9x40 that I just measured was 3.8" at 3x and 3 inches at 9x.

I'm sure all here would love to see your evidence, thanks.

Huron Eye Relief, as measured from the rubber at 3x is @ 4.25 inches

Possibly a Captian Obvious question but I'm assuming the zero end of the tape is the location of your forehead or eyeball?

You would assume correctly. Since I only had a tape measure and not a ruler and the beam was directed at a index card taped to the wall, I had to run the tape that way.

I can't stand a short eye-relief scope and have found the FFII's a little lacking, but not horrific. I love the ER on Leupolds but they do shift a lot between power selector and I'm moving away from Leupolds on many rifles, not all.

The Huron is not an issue for me and the biggest way of judging for me is having the dang thing on a rifle and shooting. I did the flashlight thing to satisfy some of those that continue to parrot about ER.

I too was skeptical and never ordered one, based on their specs, but after seeing Edm's post and talking with him, I made the leap as there was only one way to know for certain, and so far I'm happy I did.

I'm obviously not discussing long term durability, just addressing the Eye Relief issue, or should I say, non-issue. I liked the scope so much I ordered another.

As I said earlier, I assumed wire because it will get golden with enough light behind you. I sent them and message this morning and they replied:

"All of the Huron riflescopes use a wire reticle. Please let me know if you have any more questions."

I picked one up in a store and held it up to my eye. It was too close at 9X. It felt close to their advertised 2.5" I wonder why Trijicon would advertise their eye relief as shorter than it is.

No idea but I found the same with my Accupoints. Actual ER greater than advertised.

I have 3 Trijicon scopes. One Tenmile and 2 Credos. I haven't measured their eye relief, but it feels consistent with the manufacturer's specs.
