Which would be involuntary servitude which is unlawful in the USA except as punishment for a crime says the 13th amendment.

Even Barry Goldwater thought the draft was unconstitutional.

Without compulsory military service being allowed we could/would have stayed out of both world wars, the Korean war, and the Vietnam war and we would be trillions of dollars ahead.

Everybody? What about the 18 year old misfits, the Amish, the GIRLS (equal now), the crippled, the pregnant, the morons, the trans, the dopers, the criminals?

More importantly, how are we going to pay them and their medical care the next 60 or 70 years?

Involuntary service is a terrible idea as we learned in the late 60s. The troops even started killing their own officers back then. What do you think would happen now?
