Thought I would share our blog on the latest turkey guns.

I watched the video.....why not post the weight of each gun? Very important to me. I shoot a Fieldmaster 20 gauge with handloads of #9 TSS....deadly at 40 yards and beyond. Weight is around 6 1/2 lb. Also have a Stevens 301 single shot in 20 gauge.....6.2 lbs. The 20 gauge with the right load is becoming very popular as a go to turkey getter now and in most cases are much lighter in weight than a 12. Have a 870 in 12 ga that my grandson uses but with it loaded up is much heavier. Some don't mind the extra weight but if you doing a lot of walking each day that 20 gets my nod.

Yeah the heavier weight of the 12ga Turkey shotguns made me change over a couple years back to the much lighter/handier 20ga models like My Benelli M2 20ga 24" barrel only weighs 5.5 pounds...I put in a pile of miles with my style of hit and run Spring gobbler hunting and I appreciate the lively little M2 20ga especially with today's TSS turkey loads I can still kill a turkey out to 50yds ( my personal limit) but i like them @35-40yds better 😁.....Good hunting..Hb

I use to play the "gun of the month" club thing but have not bought a new turkey gun in years.
If I were in the market, these things would all pay a factor in no real order, weight, barrel length, action type, dependability, and aftermarket support.

I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects

I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Great information.

Are you going to do one on ammo or did I miss it?
