…and it’s working. Lankford and McConnell set this up. Step one, flood the country for three years with millions of illegal aliens. Step two, watch approval numbers on the border drop below 20%. Step three, election year is here. Decide you need to act now that you’ve let millions of illegals into the country and the American people are pissed. Step four, line up some rhinos in the Senate to assist with the next phase of the plan. Step five, work with the RINOs on a bipartisan basis to devise a garbage piece of legislation that would make the crisis considerably worse. Step six, ensure the bill is so bad that becomes toxic for Republicans, so much so that even the Republican RINO leadership who helped negotiate it is forced to abandon it. Step seven, message the doomed legislation as the strongest immigration and border bill in history, knowing the media will faithfully echo your propaganda. Step eight, claim the only reason Republicans abandon the bill is because Trump wants to use the open border as a campaign issue. Step nine, adopt your new 2024 campaign mantra the border crisis is Trump’s fault. From 1/29. What Lankford is doing is setting up the GOP for failure in Nov.
The Border issue is number one on just about everyone’s list when it comes to election issues. Even as far away as Ioway and NH polls showed the Border number one.
Trump is campaigning hard on the Border and it working, people are waking up and are pissed, pissed at Biden.
What this Bipartisan plan will do is shift the blame from Biden to the Republicans.
The narrative will be, “The Biden Administration has worked out a Border deal with Senate Republicans.” The deal will not generate enough support in the house and prolly not enough in the Senate and The MSM Talking Points will be, “ MAGA House Republicans squash Border Deal”.
Then the Border crisis will now be blamed on Trump and his so called supporters in the House.
Democrats stay in control and the Republican Establishment can breath a sigh of relieve that they won’t gain power in the Senate and hopefully lose control of the House.

The only comments you ever get is they know prices have gone up after Trump. In Oz it was called "The Hip Pocket Nerve", and every politician in office that affects that is tossed out at the next election if not already tossed out during his term by his own party. That is why you never know who the prime Minister is and have to check now and then. Keeps them on their toes. The Hip Pocket Nerve is the enemy of political slogun. Americans are more inclined to just not turn up and vote whereas in Oz it is compulsory with a fine if you are not marked off the rolls.

That might be the plan, but it isn’t working. I don't think it will either. Most people will not buy into the fact that Biden is now concerned about the border. Given the Gaza situation, Biden is polling very low among some key demographics in Michigan and some other key swing states. Turnout is going to be interesting.
