This is an in your face affront to the Putin interview. They all still think we are in a war with Russia. We have work to do. All of them must go home. Cornyn's vote was no surprise. Whatever Mitch does Cornyn will follow.

Notice when McConnell gets just enough traitors to vote with Democrats, these Senators usually…

1) have more than 3-4 years till their reelection

2) are retiring

3) or are, like himself, protected and are elected in a state that would never vote for a Democrat, a lesser of two evils red state. Senator Kennedy is a good example of this.

4) the usual suspects elected in Blue States snd must always vote blue to please their constituents

McConnell also rotates both 1 & 3 often enough that voters forget.

I am sad to see that Senator Kennedy voted for this and have emailed him once more asking that we quit sending money to help that nasty country.

some people are still amazed by this, and feel really betrayed
as though it never happened before
and still believe they have representation at even the local level.

you'd need to be particularly thick to believe this can be remedied at the voting booth

Every Congressman that votes for giving foreign aid to a country is getting paid by that country.

Not the best of reporting. We will soon see news reports of most of these Republicans Senators voting against Ukraine funding, but the Dems will push it across the finish line in the Senate. It appears this was a cloture vote that takes 60 votes to allow a proposal to move forward for more debate in the Senate. It is a long time political trick to take advantage of the American public's lack of interest in what really happens in DC. You vote against cloture (which would stop a bill) so a bill moves forward and then vote against the bill knowing that it will pass. In that way you placate both sides, and you can campaign at home on how you stood tall and voted against the bill.

John Cornyn’s favorite tactic is to vote for cloture then against the bill he knows will pass. That way he can go home, shrug his shoulders and claim he voted against the bill.

Never did believe that, even for a millisecond.

Me either, tho I have no idea if it was nefarious doings, or he died in a saddle not his own and it was hushed.

The other trick is to sign on as a co-sponsor of a bill, then vote against it so you can make everybody happy. Weasels in suits…with apologies to real weasels.

Me neither. Whoever did it didn't even bother to remove the pillow from his face. They wanted the rest of the Supreme Court to know it was a hit, despite the gaslighting campaign on the part of the MSM to the contrary.
