It seems to be somewhat predictable by age. The millennials seemed to like it. Gen-X people seemed to be largely neutral - wasn't terrible but most of us saw the golden age of musical performing in our early teens and adulthood, so we've definitely seen many better and some worse. Boomers seem to just want them to have some old fashion country music
Gen-Z just thinks the rest of us are old.
Jokes aside though - it would be impossible to come up with anyone that everyone universally liked.

I watched it. I thought he was singing in a foreign language at first. My wife assured me it was English. I didn't recognize any of the artists and couldn't understand any of them. It wasn't good entertainment at all.
