Considering most of the people who “serve” as Senators, I consider that a great public service!😀 Somebody needs to thin the freaking herd, and of way more than just Senators! Reon
"Preserving the Constitution, fighting off the nibblers and chippers, even nibblers and chippers with good intentions, was once regarded by conservatives as the first duty of the citizen. It still is." Wesley Pruden
Let’s just put it this way. I could shoot down a drone with a shotty. Maybe not every time. But Sticksuck, he’s [bleep]. Wouldn’t even try. He’d be the thumb sucker in the fighting hole, or sucking hole is your Sticksuck, waiting for the metallic enema in the form of a $450 drone/handgrenade. Good luck, SS. Thoughts and prayers to you.
The only problem with this approach is that you DO have to get EVERY ONE !

For the drones that operate in the visible light spectrum, seems like smoke grenades could be an option, if you had an escape route you could get to before the smoke dissipated. Even just tarps randomly placed on the battlefield would keep the drone operator guessing if there was anyone under it.

Yes, current drone tactics are most effective in open environments. In the Jungles of a place like Vietnam, probably not so much. We are working on more specialized drones for Urban Warfare which many have applications in such environments.
This why the Ukrainians need to be thinking about leaving Advika.
Now the Russians are reaching the city they will quickly loose much of their advantage.
Getting to to preserve their forces for the next fight.
You didn't use logic or reason to get into this opinion, I cannot use logic or reason to get you out of it.
You cannot over estimate the unimportance of nearly everything. John Maxwell
I’m not sure why more of these trenches and fighting positions don’t have overhead cover. Even in my limited infantry training, I remember that. That would help a lot, though not completely negate the threat of drones, particularly FPV drones.
These cheap drones are really changing warfare. You don’t need satellites and expensive recon planes to have a complete view of the battlefield. As such, forces cannot concentrate for a western style attack. Anything that can be seen, can be hit by a missile or even by a drone itself.
This is a revolution in warfare along the scale of dreadnoughts…something that makes everything before it instantly obsolete. Five hundred $500 apiece autonomous drones coupled with AI could dominate a battlefield in a way scarcely even imagined a couple of decades ago. And that isn’t even mentioning much more numerous drone swarms of thousands, even millions. Drones are cheap enough you could produce half a dozen drones for every soldier in an enemy’s army. And the thing is, even small and traditionally weak states or even non-state actors could do it.
I don’t want to think about terrorism. Imagine what 2,000 explosive armed drones released from miles away could do to a college football game or a concert.
