But I had no idea till just today. I was walking him today, and someone walking past asked me his age. I told him what I thought it was, but admitted to not knowing off the top of my head when his birthday was. I really had no idea (It literally could have been any day of the year, for all I remembered), but I do have a written record of the date. So, when I got home, I pulled out that record, and (can you believe it?) it was today. What are the chances?? Exactly 1 in 365. Of course, I immediately informed him he had a birthday today, and wished him a happy one.

He actually gets a whole raw chicken leg or two (depending on their size) every day, so he thinks every day is his birthday anyway.

Is he an inside boy Hawkeye? He goes in and out, but always overnights in the house. Same here. Iv'e never had an inside dog before and really didn't want him in the house, but the wife wanted him inside so.............

Imposing looking fella. Bet he's a pussycat around his humans. Oh yeah. Loves kids, especially. Whenever I walk him in the park, kids flock to him and ask to pet him. He eats it up. You've never seen him happier than when kids come over to pet him. He's super gentle with them, like he knows to be that way with kids because of his tremendous strength.
