Danger sign? Is this like asking for payment via Friends and Family? Specifically Lapua factory website. Ordering brass. A note at checkout said they would text or email instructions to transfer funds via "Zelle". No other payment option available. Is this a scam site? Or is "Zelle" becoming a standard model of business? Is it reversible if I do not receive my product? https://brassstore-usa.com/lapua-284-winchester-unprimed-rifle-brass/

If a site won't take a credit card and directs you to use Zelle or some other crypto currency, considerate it a scam.

It appears to be an imitation site. This is the real Lapua website. They have no 284 brass. https://www.lapua.com/products/cartridge-cases/

Lapua’s website has never allowed ordering direct, that I am aware of.
That, and ‘only’ a single form of non credit card electronic payment?

Zelle is for transferring money to someone you know personally. It is not for use on an internet site that is going to ship you something. If a website doesn't take a valid credit card, skip it.
Think of Zelle as cash. Once it has changed hands, you can not get it back.

To be clear, Zelle is fine for certain applications. It is supposedly as secure as any bank to consumer payment form. It just does not offer any protection if you send it to the wrong person or if you order something with it and need to dispute the purchase. Zelle works the same as cash. Once you give it to someone else, the money is gone. It's an easy way to send family members money that they need immediately.
Any business or online sales requesting Zelle is a huge red flag.

I recently opened an Schwab bank acount and saw mention of Zelle for moving money on the website. So it does have some legit purpose. I am moving mine using a different method.

The key isn't that they offer Zelle, it's that they ONLY offer Zelle, and not more traditional payment methods where the transaction can be disputed and you can get your money back.
